What type of pets do you look after?

i am happy to care for many pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, birds, fish, chickens and ducks.  If you don’t see your pets on the list, please ask!

Are you police checked?

Yes, I am fully DBS checked.

How long is a dog walk?

This is up to you and we can agree the time at our initial visit.  Usual walks range from half an hour to two hours.

Where are the dogs walked?

If your dog would like to be walked in a familiar place, I can organise this.  Otherwise dogs are walked in local parks and on the beach.

What do you do with my key?

Keys are numbered and are kept in a lockable key cabinet away from paperwork and are not identified by clients’ names.  If you would rather, I can return the key after each walk.

Are dogs kept on the lead?

Dogs are kept on leads unless you are happy for you dog to be walked off lead, this will be agreed at the initial consultation.

Does my dog have to be vaccinated?

Dogs must have up to date vaccinations, I also recommend a vaccination against kennel cough and regular flea and worming treatments.  Please let me know if your pet has any health issues at the initial visit.

Are you fully insured?

Paws Outdoors are comprehensively insured. Our insurance does not cover veterinary fees and It is recommended that owners have their own pet insurance cover in case of accident or injury whilst in our care.
